Independance Day Sale (wretch)

Has anyone else noticed that the fourth of July this year has become less meaningful. I can remember when there was a lot more to the celebration of our nation's creation. Now it's become a Marketing point for stores to have a good sale and police to enforce obsolete laws. I mean several towns around me decided to have fireworks on the 3rd, what's up with that? This country is really beginning to scare me.
